STEP 1: Find and read each of the Bible Lessons listed above.
As you look through the Bible to find these verses you may find others that you like… That’s a good thing; maybe you will use one of those for the next steps. Or, maybe you already know of some verse or verses in the Bible that you already know you like. That’s a good thing too; maybe you will use one of those for the next steps.
STEP 2: Write out at least 5 - 7 that you really like
You can use the space here or another document/ piece of paper to write out those 5-7 verses
STEP 3: Pray about each one of those:
“Dear Lord, show me the true meaning of Your Word; Let this verse come alive for me and show me how it can touch my life.” (Read the verse several times.)“Thank you God for your truth and wisdom, for your Holy Spirit that guides. In Jesus’ name, Amen”
STEP 4: After you have done this for each of your 5 – 7 favorites, ask God to help you choose one to be your Theme Verse. Choose one.
STEP 5: Write that verse twice (2x):
 1. In the space below, write the whole verse with its reference (e.g. Psalm 1:1)
2. On the top of Phase 2 (next section), write the reference only.
Write your verse in its entirety (including its reference) here: *
STEP 6: Thank God for the help of the Holy Spirit.
It is now time...for Phase 2
