Lifting Literacy Aotearoa is NZ's leading independent advocacy group promoting the Science of Reading and a Structured Literacy pedagogy. As part of our advocacy and school support work, we want to know which schools are following a Structured Literacy approach. The intention is for this information to be searchable on our website (via a google map) so that parents who are looking for a school that uses SL can find a school in their area; and for teachers in the same area to connect with each other and support each other in their practice.
We are also collecting information from homeschooling educators - some questions may not be applicable, with write 'n/a' for these - but please complete as many as you can, for example where we make reference to 'school' just read that as 'you'. We won't use this information to add to our Map of schools - but it will provide very useful insights to aid in our advocacy with the Ministry of Education.
The information may also be shared with others such as the Ministry of Education or other researchers for policy development purposes.
