ABOUT THE WORKSHOP:

Technosomatics is a dance practice and a technique of trance that consists of an exploration of the chakras and endocrine glands by means of club-dancing to techno in the dark with eyes closed. It is also an exploration of club-dancing by means of embodying the chakras and the endocrine glands. It is open to anyone with an appetite for dancing to techno.

ABOUT FRÉDÉRIC GIES:

Frédéric Gies is a dancer and choreographer based in Sweden, presenting their works nationally and internationally in various contexts (dance venues, music festivals and museums). Drawing from their former training in ballet and specific trends of contemporary dance, their dance floor experiences in techno clubs and raves and their study of somatic practices, they approaches forms as possibilities rather than constraints. They teach their practice Technosomatics in various contexts.
