Introduction
Jack works as a computer scientist in a Communications and Marketing European company. At first, the job he found was everything he had always wanted. But for some time now he has not been as passionate about working as he once was. He feels dissatisfied and sometimes, even a little sad. In concrete terms, he has nothing to complain about: it is a modern and youthful company. It fosters a cutting-edge, stimulating, creative environment where roles are not precisely defined but instead promote widespread leadership where everyone is involved. Jack knows it is a a good company with a good team. Jack, however, feels that something is no longer right. In fact, he feels isolated in his role. Is it him or is it the others?

The summer arrives and his best friend, who wants to support him, offers him an opportunity. She tells him of a role with a voluntary association in Mexico. This request puts him in a tizzy. He reminds her that working in countries of the "Global South" was an old dream he had long put aside.

Now that he feels melancholic, almost without meaning in his work, without stimulation; he thinks - "Perhaps it is no coincidence that this opportunity is coming now."
