Renée's Queer Cabaret - Submission Form
***CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS - DEADLINE SATURDAY, APRIL 20*** -

RENÉE’S QUEER CABARET is a series of themed “resistance variety shows” hosted by Rockstar and B Movie Actress Renée Muzquiz. This live stage performance defies the traditional cabaret with rock music and a focus on the intimate humor, joys and vulnerabilities of living on the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

SEEKING ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE PIECES (~7 - 8 minutes). These can include queer-written/created songs, monologues, scenes, poetry, spoken word, dance, drag, burlesque, storytelling, film, clown, puppetry, multimedia, performance art, vogue, comedy and more. Selected performers may have the option of band back-up by request. Performers will join in on a musical finale with the band and may also optionally participate in a sketch for the show.

*Note: This theme will be B Movie title, "Not of This Earth." Performers have the option of submitting pieces inspired by their interpretation of the theme, but this is not required.

WHERE: Curious Comedy - Portland, Oregon

WHEN: Monday, June 3 performance (evening), Sunday June 2 tech rehearsal (afternoon). You must be available for both to be selected to perform. Performers are also invited to an off-site writing session the week prior to the show to collaborate on a sketch together (optional).
