Hello everyone! As you’ve become aware I am hosting an event at 2:30-6:00 PM EST on November 18. I have provided a google forms signup a few days prior with some information as a means for players to claim a spot if they’re interested (and get as many people involved as possible). I’m looking for about 18 players.

The NTR, HoS, and HoP (minor) roles and Barkeep (major) role are guaranteed event roles and cannot be reserved as you will have to roll them; If you are given an event role you are to immediately disable the following roles for the event round: Captain, Head of Personnel, NTR, Bartender, HOS, Warden, Security Officer (detective not included), IAA/HRR, Blueshield, Magistrate. For a few roles I will request that you specifically set a role/department on HIGH. And for a few roles I ask that you remain in the lobby during round start.

The round will be delayed for a bit (I’m hoping to keep it to 10 minutes or less) while I prepare a few things. Once I have roles sorted I will PM each player their assigned role and give them instructions for round start. Once the round has begun I will begin giving event roles their objectives as well as introductory information about their characters + clues that may help them complete their objectives.

I will be providing no details/info about what the event actually is :) however I’m sure you’ll find out some background information in the first 10 minutes of the round.

Due to the nature of this event, I may extend the round up to a half hour more than the normal 2 hour length. After that I’ll either force call the shuttle or leave it up to the player base as to whether or not they want to continue into a 3 hour round (max round time).

This is a RP oriented event. This does not mean I don’t want or discourage event characters to kill people, blow shit up, etc. I just expect that your first course of action isn’t always fully aggressive. Consider alternative routes to completing your objectives through diplomacy, bribery, trade deals, and reconnaissance. Your aim (unless otherwise specified) is not to remove people from the round permanently or for needless reasons. Do not Power Game, do not Meta Game, and most certainly do not be a dick.

On another note, Space Cash matters in this event, it is a tool/resource so don’t be afraid to spend or request money for items/favors/requests. Space Cash is needed for purchasing items as well as receiving certain services from event characters, keep this in mind!

If you want to do something that largely deviates from your objectives or if you’re a non-event character who is about to be doing fishy/shady stuff due to the event you should ahelp for a go ahead beforehand.

If you come into possession of a major event item (it will be VERY obviously a custom item), DO NOT try and make it completely inaccessible for other players: disposals loops, cavity implants, destruction of items, and off-station storage are not permissible. You are only allowed to take these items off station if doing so is required by an objective or you will die if you don’t space yourself (in which case you should make your way back ASAP).

If you come into possession of a special/rare event object you will need to pray to an admin to use it. Some items have a cooldown, special abilities, and limited usage; You can find this information in the description of the object.

For event roles, at any point you may contact your employer for additional resources and help but this should only be done either after completing some of your objectives or when you’ve exhausted all other options. If you need clarifications to objectives/goals, need to relay a message, or make a minor request you may just use the pray feature to contact your leader/faction/employer. For any major request (such as numerous resources, new intel, etc) from your faction you will need to use a long-range fax machine and fax through the Central Command Network. Please prefix the fax title you are sending with the faction you are sending it to. Be specific in your requests and remember that if it’s available in the code it may be available to you in-game via this feature (admin-only things not permissible).

For your objectives there are two types: Self (S) and Team (T) objectives. Self objectives are objectives that you and only you have even if you are on a team. It’s often in your best interest to keep these secrets unless revealing them would help you complete them. Team objectives are objectives that you and a few other trusted people share; Once one person completes it on a team, it’s complete for all of them.
