This year, Japan Habba will be held online once more. Cultural programs have been a mainstay during every edition. This year will be no different. With the new online format, we would love to have to participate and submit a video of your performance. It will be aired during the event as it is live-streamed to thousands of viewers.

Since we have limited slots, applications/videos will be selected on a first-come-first-served basis. Please ensure you read the guidelines and submit your applications.

Only limited number of applications will be accepted so we encourage everyone to submit their application as soon as possible.

• Please do not skip any of the sections in the form. Incomplete applications will be rejected. If you want to leave a section blank, please type “NA” unless specified otherwise.
• Applications and videos submitted after March 26 will not be considered.
• Only one application per group will be permitted. If the same person is participating in multiple performances, or the same group submits multiple applications, they may be rejected. This applies to companies or schools applying as well.
• The format this time is online and we would be streaming a recorded version of your performance.
• The deadline to submit the videos is March 26, 2022.
• The video should be taken in a LANDSCAPE orientation in a widescreen format (recommended resolution: 1920x1080, also known as 1080p or Full HD)
• Participants must use their own camera/audio equipment to perform. The recording should have good sound and video quality.
• Solo songs will not be included in the program. Please apply for the karaoke contest for solo song performances.
• Please ensure that your performance is 4-7 minutes long.
• Participants must be affiliated to learning Japanese language/culture or working in Japanese companies to be eligible to participate.
• Incorporating Japanese themes in the performances will be given preference for selection. Bollywood medleys, medleys of Indian songs and Indian/Western dance steps are not allowed for Indian participants.
• We may not be able to include every application in the final list of performers. Please adhere to the norms, and the decision of the committee is final in all matters.
