Learn simple tricks for improving your workflow. Gmail - viewing calendars for scheduling meetings, how to attach files from Google Drive, using contact groups, schedule send, side panel tasks. Making Word Documents Accessible
After a brief overview of ADA Compliance, we will demonstrate how the Blackboard Ally app inside Canvas evaluates accessibility. Next, we will demonstrate how to use Microsoft Word features to improve document accessibility. -- Jim Lacey
Alternative Online Discussions
We will explore a variety of online tools to generate engaging online discussions. These are alternatives to the standard Canvas discussion forums, and they provide features for students to easily share webcam videos and other multimedia content. We will look at Flip, Padlet, and Hypothes.is. These tools can be used in class or as part of homework assignment.  Instructor: Hedrick Ellis
Turnitin in Canvas
Turnitin similarity checker is built into Canvas, enabling students to improve their writing, while providing tools for instructors to check for plagiarism.  You will learn about setting up Turnitin for Assignments and how to evaluate similarity reports. -- Jim Lacey
