Thank you to all who took the time to fill out our survey about our rescheduled Graduate Education at Work in the World conference.
Based on a combination of your feedback and logistical constraints, we have decided to go with a shorter, but more participatory program. This will allow us to gather and get into some of the deeper questions and conversations within a more limited timeframe. (Zoom fatigue is a real concern!) Our main goal is to gather this incredible group of people and collectively imagine new futures for graduate education; our hope is that this updated structure will help us to do that within the current circumstances.
Here is a tentative schedule:
Thursday, 18 February 2021
12:00pm - 1:30pm EST: Welcome and Plenary Session
2:00pm - 3:30pm EST: Discussion Groups
Friday, 19 February 2021
12:00pm-1:30pm EST: Lightning Talks
2:00pm - 3:30pm EST: Lightning Talks or Discussion Groups (depending on interest)
4:00pm - 5:30pm EST: Closing Remarks, followed by Networking/Social Event
We invite folks to either present on their original topic as a 4-5 minute lightning talk, or to lead a small-group discussion with fellow participants. You are also welcome to attend and be a part of the discussions without presenting. No matter what, we hope that everyone will participate! Please let us know your preference by completing this sign-up sheet no later than Thursday, 10 December 2020.
