Black Excellence Day!
Hey Hill Families! To celebrate Black History Month, we are inviting Black/African American parents/family members to join us on February 24th for a Black Excellence Day. Black Excellence Day will be to recognize and share the stories of some of the Black members in the community. This will give us another opportunity to become culturally diverse and gain insights about the wonderful participants and leaders in our community. We will ask participants to share and discuss:

             - Their experiences of being black in their career field
             - What obstacles that they’ve had to overcome
             - What it means to you to be Black,
             - Why Black History Month is important and why students need to learn about it in school.

If you have any questions about participating please feel free to contact Director Turner, at darian_turner@dpsk12.net.
