This is our first year raising turkeys at Dancing Bear Farm, and we're thrilled that you are interested in reserving one for your Thanksgiving Day! Our turkeys are raised on pasture starting at three weeks old with supplemental grain. They spend their nights in TurkShaw shelters to protect from predators and are able to roam free on pasture during the days. Each morning we move their TurkShaw shelter which encourages the turkeys to explore a new section of pasture and spread their fertilizer (turkey manure!) on new ground.
These turkeys are living their best lives and we are so grateful that you are interested in supporting these practices through your purchase of a Dancing Bear Farm turkey.
Turkeys will be available for pick up fresh not frozen Saturday November 23rd and Sunday November 24th at Dancing Bear Farm in Claremont, NH. We may have additional turkeys available to purchase over the weekend but encourage you to submit this form with a deposit to reserve your turkey.
Turkey deposits are non-refundable and go towards the total price of the bird. A deposit reserves your turkey for the November 23rd or 24th pick up dates. Farming can sometimes be unpredictable, and if we are unable to fulfill your order we will refund the deposit in full.
We expect the turkeys to be in the 15-25 pound range. You can select your ideal weight on this form but please understand that we may not be able to fulfill your exact weight request. Turkeys are $6/lb and the $25 deposit will go towards the final cost of the bird.
We will also have a small number of frozen pasture-raised chickens available for sale during turkey pick up dates.
Deposits can be made by check or cash. Checks can be made out to Dancing Bear Farm and mailed to 379 Jarvis Hill Road, Claremont NH. We also can accept deposits via Venmo: @Julia-Latady
