As part of your application, we would like to ask you to write a short policy statement on your behalf on one of the topics of your committee’s agenda. (up to 400 words) *
You are free to choose one of the country you woud like to represent in the ExCom of the UNHCR. After them, you should write the statement relying on the position of any country. The statement must be based on concrete arguments, supporting the position. Your writing must analyze the issue from political, economic and social aspects. We would like to kindly remind you that this statement is your personal work, so any plagiarism is unacceptable.                                                                                                       The topics of the ExCom of the UNHCR:                                                                                                                                                 1.Assistance to refugees in time of COVID-19 pandemic: effective access to assistance provided in the countries of asylum with the emphasis on refugees’ enrolment in national vaccination programs and overall healthcare treatment and services on a par with citizens of the host countries.                                                                                                                                                     2. Ensuring unhindered access of asylum-seekers to the territories of countries and refugee status determination procedures in the context of COVID-19 caused restrictions.
