This Agreement (“Agreement”) is between the San Antonio Independent School District (the “District”) organization and you, the Parent/Guardian of the Student identified below (“Parent/Guardian”) and your Student hereby agree as follows:
INTRODUCTION: The use of technology is an important aspect of the educational experience. Communication technologies afford new and exciting learning opportunities for the student. Failure to adhere to Administrative Procedure ‘Use of Communication Technologies-F26’ (
https://www.saisd.net/upload/page/0799/f26.pdf ), may result in disciplinary action including, but not limited to, temporary or permanent loss of use of technology resources. This procedure is aligned to the Internet Safety Policies and SAISD Digital Ecosystem that offers a seamless digital environment that empowers each user with the tools needed to maximize his/her efficiency, productivity, and discovery for the highest levels of learning.
The District can offer students the opportunity to use equipment on or off SAISD premises. The equipment (device) in this agreement is the property of the San Antonio Independent School District.
General Precautions:
● Please notify your teacher immediately if the device is lost, damaged, stolen, or with any other concerns.
● Equipment must remain free of writing, drawing, stickers, and/or labels that are not the property of the District.
● Students are responsible for securing and monitoring the equipment and accessories at all times.
● No food or drink is allowed next to your equipment at any time.
● Cords, cables, and removable storage devices must be inserted and ejected properly.
● Removal of the San Antonio ISD asset tag is prohibited.
Equipment Use:
● Equipment is for academic use and not for personal usage.
● The student agrees not to add, alter, delete or copy the operating system, any software and/or apps loaded on the devices.
● No additional software is to be loaded without permission of the appropriate technology personnel.
● Any information on the equipment, when it is returned, is not confidential information of the student.
● Students should NEVER leave their device unattended or in the care of anyone else. The student is responsible for the equipment he/she has signed out. They are responsible for any damages done to the device and should be in working order upon return.
● Never leave the device unsecured.
● Store the device in its case (if any) when not in use.
● Please do not leave the device in vehicles or exposed to extreme temperatures or damaging elements.
Screen Care:
● Do not lean on top of the device when it is closed.
● Do not place anything near the device that could put pressure on the screen.
● Do not poke the screen or apply pressure.
● Clean the screen with a soft, dry cloth or anti-static cloth.
● If the device is carried in the backpack, ensure that the backpack is not thrown around, dropped, or stepped on.
*In the event the device is stolen, a police report from the SAISD Police Department or San Antonio PD is required. There is NO GUARANTEE THAT A NEW laptop will be issued to the student due to limited amounts on hand.
**The purpose of this equipment loan is for the student to actively participate in the virtual learning opportunities offered by SAISD.
***At the conclusion of the school year, the device and its accessories must be promptly returned to the District in satisfactory condition. Any damage that is deemed beyond normal wear and tear will be the responsibility of the Student’s Parent or Legal Guardian. Under no circumstance should a Student or Parent/Legal Guardian attempt repairs. Any unauthorized repairs or modifications made to the device may deem the device unusable, and the Parent/Legal Guardian will be responsible for its replacement cost. Further, the Parent or Legal Guardian is responsible for the replacement cost for the loss of the device, including by theft or accident.

Precauciones generales:
* Notifique a su maestro de inmediato si el dispositivo se pierde, se daña, se lo roban o tiene cualquier otra inquietud.
* El equipo debe permanecer libre de rayaduras de pluma o lápiz, dibujos, calcomanías y / o etiquetas que no sean propiedad del Distrito.
* Los estudiantes son responsables de asegurar y monitorear el equipo y los accesorios en todo momento.
* No se permite comida ni bebida cerca de su equipo en ningún momento.Los cables, cables y dispositivos de almacenamiento extraíbles deben insertarse y expulsarse adecuadamente.
* Remover de la etiqueta de activo de San Antonio ISD está prohibido.
Uso de equipo:
* El equipo es para uso académico y no para uso personal.
* El estudiante acepta no agregar, alterar, eliminar o copiar el sistema operativo, ningún software y / o aplicaciones cargados en los dispositivos.
* No se debe subir ningún software adicional sin el permiso del personal del departamento de tecnología apropiado.
* Cualquier información en el equipo, cuando se devuelve, no es información confidencial del estudiante.
* Los estudiantes NUNCA deben dejar su dispositivo desatendido o al cuidado de otra persona. El estudiante es responsable del equipo que ha firmado. Son responsables de los daños causados al dispositivo y deben estar en buen funcionamiento a su regreso.
* Nunca deje el dispositivo sin protección.
* Guarde el dispositivo en su estuche (si tiene) cuando no esté en uso.
* No deje el dispositivo en vehículos o expuesto a temperaturas extremas o elementos dañinos.
Cuidado de la pantalla:
* No se apoye sobre el dispositivo cuando esté cerrado.
* No coloque cosas cerca del dispositivo que puedan ejercer presión sobre la pantalla.
* No toque la pantalla ni aplique presión.
* Limpie la pantalla con un paño suave y seco o un paño antiestático.
* Si el dispositivo se lleva en la mochila, asegúrese de que la mochila no sea arrojada, aventada o pisada.
* En caso de robo del dispositivo, se requiere un informe policial del Departamento de Policía de SAISD o el Departamento de Policía de San Antonio. NO HAY GARANTÍA DE QUE se emitirá una nueva computadora portátil al estudiante debido a cantidades limitadas disponibles.
** El propósito de este préstamo de equipo es que el estudiante participe activamente en las oportunidades de aprendizaje virtual que ofrece SAISD.
*** Al finalizar el año escolar, el dispositivo y sus accesorios deben devolverse de inmediato al Distrito en condiciones satisfactorias. Cualquier daño que se considere más allá del desgaste normal será responsabilidad del padre o tutor legal del
estudiante. Bajo ninguna circunstancia debe un estudiante o padre / tutor legal intentar reparaciones. Cualquier reparación o modificación no autorizada realizada en el dispositivo puede considerarlo inutilizable, y el padre / tutor legal será responsable de su costo de reemplazo. Además, el padre o tutor legal es responsable del costo de reemplazo por la pérdida del dispositivo, incluso por robo o accidente.
