Ethics Agreement for the use of GRAFT

Introduction:

This Ethics Agreement ("Agreement") outlines the ethical principles and guidelines governing the use of the GRAFT ("the Model") developed at Cornell University ("the Organization"). By using the Model, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.


Ethical Principles:

User Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance with Laws: Users agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to the use of the Model, including data protection and privacy laws.

  2. Informed Consent: If the use of the Model involves data that may impact individuals or communities, users agree to obtain informed consent or adhere to relevant data-sharing agreements.

Liability and Indemnification:

  1. No Warranty: The Model is provided "as is" without any warranty. The Organization is not responsible for any errors, inaccuracies, or adverse outcomes resulting from the use of the Model.

  2. Limitation of Liability: The Organization shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Model.

  3. Indemnification: Users agree to indemnify and hold the Organization harmless from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from their use of the Model.

By using the Model, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this Ethics Agreement.
