Tremont Summer Camp Financial Aid Application / Registration for 2024 Programs
Money, or lack of it, should never stand in the way of a life-changing summer experience. Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont makes every attempt to offer financial aid to any child who needs a little extra help to make summer camp in the Smokies a reality. Each year we offer money to dozens of campers making it possible for them to go backpacking, explore a forest habitat, or catch a salamander in the creek during one of Tremont’s summer programs.

All applications for financial aid are screened and ranked by a team of Tremont staff. We look for desire of the student to come to camp, their interest in contributing in a positive way to the camp, and their overall financial need.

Please note, this application serves as your camp registration form; you do not need to fill out other registration forms.

In order to complete the application, you must mail or email the following items:
1. A letter written by the camper expressing why they want to come to camp, what they would contribute, and how they would benefit from camp.
2. A letter from a parent, guardian, or teacher expressing the reasons why financial aid funding is needed.

These attachments may be mailed to Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont at:
9275 Tremont Road
Townsend, TN 37882
Or emailed to: mail@gsmit.org
Please note, applications will not be processed without these letters.

This application and all attachments must be received by March 31, 2024.

Tremont does not discriminate against applicants by race, creed, sex, or national origin.
