Point Park Design Survey
A small design committee from the Chagrin Harbor Beach Association has been in the process of developing a draft concept plan to improve Point Park for Harbor residents. We are now at a point where we would like to solicit feedback from the community to provide input on what they would like to see at Point Park. Your input will be used to help refine the draft concept plan for Point Park. The draft concept plan should be used as a reference point when completing this survey.

As we are in the very preliminary stages of planning the future design of Point Park, we would currently like to focus on the main amenities of the park and their proposed location. As we move into future phases of design and construction, we will continue to solicit feedback from the community in order to refine the details of each amenity/park feature.

The following questions correspond to the park features found on the draft concept plan, which are numbered. For each question, you will have an opportunity to share any additional feedback so we can better understand community preferences for amenities, locations, extent of renovations, and new park features.

We are really excited to bring this project to life with the input from our residents. Please give us your opinions by taking the survey below.

Point Park Draft Concept Plan
Name and Email (Optional)
#1 Golf Cart Parking - The draft design proposes 4 golf cart parking spots (4ft x 10ft) inside the proposed fence to the north of the path as depicted in the concept plan. We do not propose to require that golf carts park here, but rather provide a dedicated space for those that would like to use it.

#1 Golf Cart Parking - Please let us know any additional thoughts, questions, or concerns about this feature as proposed in the draft concept plan.
#2 Fence and Gate -  The draft design proposes a 4ft high black aluminum fence that would be approximately 36-38ft in length, and located approximately 10ft from the road. The fence would include a gate that would allow for large machinery to enter the beach when necessary (up to 12 ft wide), but consistently be open wide enough to fit in golf carts, side-by-sides, etc. (approximately 6 ft). We would have the capability to close the gate all the way if necessary, but we propose always leaving an open path for easy entry. We anticipate that wildlife would still be able to pass through freely without injury.

#2 Legacy Donors - Incorporated into the fence, we propose 2 brick pillars, one on each side of the gate, that will permanently and proudly display our Legacy Donors' family names.  Because of these donors, we were able to complete the shoreline revetment that is keeping Point Park secure.  Engraved brass name plates will be secured on the individual bricks (size and character quantity TBD).
