Fine Arts

All students are required to take one semester of art and one semester of music. Most students complete these requirements by taking Studio Art and Introduction to Music.

Instead of taking Studio Art and Introduction to Music, students have the option to study music performance by participating in our full year band and orchestra programs. The Introduction to Music Performance courses (Strings, Percussion, and Brass & Woodwinds) are designed for any student who desires to learn how to play these instruments. No previous experience or audition is required to select these courses. Selecting one of these courses will fulfill the art and music requirements.

For students with previous experience, you may choose to join one of the performance groups. (Concert Band, Orchestra, Big Band, or Vocal Repertoire Ensemble). These courses are not designed for beginners and will require an audition to be scheduled at a later time. Selecting one of these courses will fulfill the art and music requirements.
