You are receiving this email because you indicated that you will be joining our Ma 529 City Meet Up - Kansas City the weekend of September 13th-15th. There is a lot of necessary information here so please read it through.

We want everyone to feel extremely comfortable, have tons of fun, and leave knowing more ARMY friends to connect with in the future. The registration event fee (due now) which is separate from hotel room reservations (due at check in) will be $135 for the Friday through Saturday night programming, with an optional $15.00 merch pack that you can select today and pick up at the registration desk. Registration fee is non-refundable.

If you arrive on Thursday night, it's an 'on your own' night so please plan on providing your own meal for dinner and something for Friday lunch. There are several people coming in on Thursday, so I'm sure many will want to go to lunch together on Friday and we can plan as we get closer to the date.

More Info about the Weekend

The official portion of the Ma 529 City Meet Up in Kansas City begins Friday night at 5 PM. Our amazing planning team is organizing some casual and fun (but always OPTIONAL) activities for Friday evening through Saturday night.

Friday Night Meet, Eat, & Greet - A casual welcome dinner of something very simple, but not yet decided, will be served Friday evening (feel free to bring stuff to share if you want. I may bring lil' smokies just because I love you and you give lil' smokies to people you love).

After you check in, you’ll need to find our registration folks to get your official weekend credentials and merch pack if you order one today! We hope to have some music and maybe even some shopping opportunities available while we eat and greet our new 529 friends.

The hotel has a bar which you are welcome to visit. Please remember that no outside alcohol is permitted in our rented spaces.

Saturday Jin’s PJ Day (Wear PJ’s all day if you want!) - The hotel provides breakfast each morning with the cost of your room reservation. We will provide catered lunch and dinner on Saturday. Fun activities are currently being planned which may include: photo walls, pictures with cut-out members, photo-sleeve making, Bangtan Bingo or Tannie Trivia (with prizes!), JK’s Temporary Tattoo Station, cupsleeve social, silly BTS Run games, a live-link activity with our weekenders across the pond, dance demos from local dance groups(s), best BTS song Bracket Battles, and a BTS Lightstick Concert pajama party.

Event Registration


Registration includes three meals (Fri dinner, Sat lunch and dinner) and evenly spreads the cost of facility rental fees, audiovisual equipment set-up, decorations, activities, and supplies. AP529 does not intend to profit from this event. Any overage that may be collected will cover operating costs of the project or be used for future planning of similar events. We also understand that people flying in may not have access to a car so we wanted to keep all dining options on-site and convenient. The planning team tried extremely hard to manage down our costs and I am so appreciative for all of their hard work.


Hotel Reservations

Each hotel room has a full kitchen so feel free to bring your own snacks, food and drinks. You can even bring some stuff to share if you want and bring it to our common space. There are Costco, Sams and other stores nearby. Someone with a car can help you make a trip if needed.

The hotel does have a pool - should you feel so inclined. I will come visit you out there but there is no way in hell I will be putting on a bathing suit. ;)

This event ticket price is separate from your hotel room reservations. You will be receiving an email in the next week with a link to reserve your hotel room. Please do not wait to reserve. Our block of rooms is truly limited. Once the 50 rooms are filled, you can still try to book a room in the same hotel (if they are available) or in the flow-over hotel nearby.
