As volunteer staff do I get a free badge?
We like to reward our volunteers for their hard work! If you work 6 or more hours in total you will be refunded the cost of your badge in total (or a free badge to next years Doki). 

Volunteers will also get special perks like: Free training, access to the staff suite with snacks and goodies all weekend long, as well as a Volunteer badge and t-shirt!

What if I was scheduled for a shift but can't make it?
Failure to report this to the volunteer lead will result in privileges being revoked and leading up to being removed as Volunteer. We understand things happen. Maybe you can't make it to con suddenly, or your car breaks down and you will be late, or worse yet you caught the con plague. Either way it is your responsibility to report your missing a shift to the Volunteer Lead ASAP! Notices must be made no later then 1 hour before shift change/start.

How do I contact my department's head?
If accepted as a volunteer, after schedules are drafted, you will be emailed your positions, in which you will be provided contact information for your departments worked. In many cases, your department head will be the Volunteer lead. If you suddenly can't make it to con, can't make a certain shift or need to be removed as a volunteer in said department, please contact your volunteer lead and the department lead.

Volunteers that sign up for less than 6 hours the whole weekend will not be considered.

Our Volunteer lead will contact you with additional questions via email a few months prior to Dokidokon pertaining to your volunteer submission. Please be sure to check your Spam and Junk folders and if you can add mellyspieth@gmail.com to your Trusted Senders list in your spam/junk filter.

At any time throughout the year leading up to the convention year, if you have submitted a form to volunteer and can no longer volunteer, please contact us directly at mellyspieth@gmail.com

If you have Discord we encourage you to join Dokidokon's Discord server and once you've joined and given yourself the attendee role please use the ask channel to inquire about the Volunteer role. This role on the discord server will let you access the volunteer channel, where you can get quick updates or questions answered from the volunteer lead.
