The Community Tap is excited to host our Young Entrepreneurs Market (YEM) again! We are so excited to work with The Children’s Museum of the Upstate for our spring market. TCMU is offering two participants in the Young Entrepreneur Market the opportunity to sell their products in The TCMU Store! Products will be judged during the market based on eight criteria including creativity, brand alignment, and fun-factor. The winning entrepreneurs will be offered a deal from The TCMU Store buyer, and a featured retail display at The Children's Museum of the Upstate!
More FAQs on the market:
- Prices should not exceed $20 per product or service.
- Some examples of products and services offered by YEs are: jewelry, make-and-take crafts, toys, costumes, face painting, gifts, original artwork, fundraisers, magnets, paper weights, upcycled/repurposed items, and more!
- Baked goods are allowed, but must be labeled with ingredients.
- Kids can work together as a school group, scouts, a local fundraiser, with friends, siblings, or alone. We encourage parents to assist their children when necessary (ie; purchasing supplies, getting organized, using the oven, driving) however,
- Parents are not allowed to make items for the children to sell OR sell their own handmade items at their child’s table.
- Applications will be approved within one week of submission. The only reason a YEM would not be approved is if we run out of space, OR there are multiple vendors previously approved selling the same product. In that case, the YEM will be asked to consider selling a new product or service at the event.
- $10 will be due the day of the event as your table fee. 100% of all table fees will be donated to our partner charity, Project Host.
