Welcome and thank you for registering your child(ren) into Our Lady of the Assumption's Catechism Program! Our Catechism Program is intended for elementary age children (1st-6th Grade) in need of the Sacraments and further faith formation to aid them into developing their relationship and love of God, as well as preparing them to enter into our Confirmation Program in middle school for faith formation preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and become full members of the Catholic Church and, God willing, great saints!!!

Our Catechism Program implements the "Christ our Life" and "Finding God" curriculums from Loyola Press in our overall approach to faith formation at our Parish.

Catechism class takes place on Wednesdays beginning with the Holy Mass @6pm followed by classroom instruction with dismissal @7:45pm. We anticipate classes to begin the last week of September this Fall.

As you begin registering your child(ren), note that the following sections 2-6 are for including the information of each child SEPARATELY. If you only have 1-4 child(ren) to register then complete the number of sections based on the number of children you want to register and skip over to the last section 7 to complete registration.

Catechism Program Expectations
1. Your child's faith formation must be a top priority for your family. Sunday (or Saturday Vigil) Mass is MANDATORY. And there will not be absence exceptions for sports, recreational and competitive activities.
2. Catechism classes are from 6 PM-7:45 PM on Wednesdays. Class attendance includes Mass attendance.
3. More than 3 absences per year will be monitored.  Exceeding this amount may result in not moving forward in the program or reception of sacraments due to a lack of preparation.  Classes cannot be made up, so please make sure that you child participates in each class.
4. When your child is enrolled in a year where they receive the Sacraments for the first time, required events are mandatory and may not be excused or made up.  Lack of attendance may result in repeating the year.  If the Parish must change the required dates, families will be notified in adequate time.
Catechism Registration Payment
Please make sure that program fee is submitted within a week:
$75 per child (1 child in program) OR
$125 per family (More than 1 child in program)
Please have exact cash or check written to Our Lady of the Assumption (Memo: Catechism - Child(ren)'s name)

Drop off money in an envelope with the following on it:

You can drop off the payment at the OLA Office, in the Sunday collection,
