Conflict of Interest Practice Statement:
The Community Education Advisory Council has established the following “Conflict of Interest Practice Statement”. When instructors use the  Community Education program as a source of new customers for the products they sell, or services they provide, a conflict of interest occurs.
“I, the instructor , agree to offer a program to community individuals regarding the specific subject matter, for the enjoyment of the activity, or as a form of self-expression, or to provide information and education about the topic of interest as promoted by Community Education. I will not use this class to gain new clients/customers or for my own personal self-interest.”
Community Education instructors cannot promote their own products/ services or advertise during the class period. Community Education instructors may not use the class rosters to solicit business before, during and/or after the class has been conducted.
