I often go to CGS meetings – four (4) or more meetings a year.

I recently discovered CGS and hope to go to more meetings.

I read the email announcements and may go to one (1) to three (3) meetings a year.

I was active and went to meetings before Covid, but not since the lockdown.

I review the email announcements, but don’t investigate further or go to any meetings.

I want email updates but can’t go to meetings due to my circumstances (e.g., schedule, distance)t).

12. My employer supports my development & continued education in the Earth Sciences, so…

I can submit the cost of the meeting attendance to my employer for reimbursement.

14. With rising prices, CGS meeting costs are barely covered by dinner and raffle income even with a company or an individual sponsorship. CGS’s most rewarding function is providing scholarships to local students at the April meeting. Corporate support and fundraising throughout the year is vital for making scholarships available each year. To increase corporate sponsorship...

I can get my company to periodically donate a raffle prize to help reduce costs.

I have ideas and would like to help with fundraising events.

16. For 2023-2024, CGS discontinued the “Membership” Program, which entailed paying $25/season in exchange for reduced meeting fees ($5 off) for the season. My thoughts on a Reward Program for frequent participation include: ( Check ALL that Apply ! )

Keep the previous Membership Program – pay up front and be rewarded later.

Have a frequent flyer model where I get a reward after attending _X_ number of meetings.

17. Historically, the Poinsettia Pavilion is the latest in a series of CGS meeting locations. My feeling regarding meeting at the Poinsettia Pavilion include… ( Check ALL that Apply ! )

This is the best facility around and the only place to meet.

Speaker presentation visuals and sound are ideal for the audience.

A venue closer to the freeway may be more desirable.

The room is more than we need based on the attendance I have seen.

Presentations are sometimes difficult to see and hear.

The location is convenient and easy to get to.

Views of the city and the channel islands are worth any premium rental cost.
