Thank you very much for volunteering.  We wouldn't be able to run this program without you!

1. Practice gymnasium permits are available for all Ann Arbor Public School teams participating in the 2024 Winter Youth Basketball and Indoor Soccer seasons.  

2. In order to receive a permit, you must fill out the following form.  If you complete it after the due date, there may not be space available as practice sites are extremely scarce.

3. Attached are the gymnasium choices for practice permits.  Each team will receive one one-hour practice per week to be in effect from the week of January 16 to the week ending March 15.

Practices will not be held on Monday, January 15 (Martin Luther King Day) & Friday-Tuesday, February 16-20 (Mid-Winter Break) & Tuesday, February 27 (Presidential Primary Election Day) since schools are closed.  Make-up dates will not be offered for these dates.

4. Assignment of gyms for practice is done on a first-come, first-served basis.  Request for practices must be completed and sent in by 12pm on Wednesday, December 13th.

5. Practice permits requested by the deadline will be emailed by Wednesday, December 20.  **Requests received after the deadline may not be processed until after the AAPS Winter Break, 12/23/23-1/7/24.** Please keep the practice permit in your email in case you need it at the practice facility and follow the policies and rules listed on the practice permit. There may be dates that the gym is not available due to school functions, etc. Those dates will be noted on your permit.

6. Elementary school secretaries will not be reserving practice gyms.  The Rec & Ed office will assign all practices.  Please DO NOT call your elementary school secretary to attempt to reserve additional practice time.

7. There will be no make-ups scheduled for cancelled practices due to unanticipated school functions or weather.

Practice session times are limited to weekdays from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm or 7:00 pm-8:00 pm with some exceptions as noted below. There is only one practice available per team.
