Kilbourn Park Tree Planting - Spring 2024!
The 30th Ward is partnering with Openlands to plant trees in the Kilbourn Park Neighborhood. We are excited for this opportunity to come together as a community and bring more trees to our neighborhood.

Through the Openlands Tree Grant Program neighborhoods can organize a FREE community tree planting event. The 30th Ward has heard from residents across the ward that they want more trees and we get frequent calls requesting the city plant a tree. The City of Chicago DOES plant trees but by working with Openlands we are able to come together as a community and plant trees with our neighbors.

The neighborhood boundaries for this planting are Belmont to Addison N/S and Karlov to Kenton E/W - but we eventually want to host a tree planting event in every neighborhood in the 30th Ward.

By signing up to be a part of this tree planters grant through Openlands the Kilbourn Park Neighborhood will have trees planted in our parkways in Spring of 2024! You can call 773.628.7874 or email Ward30@cityofchicago.org with any questions.
