Nahuatl Elementary I (online)
Monday and Wednesday
12:00pm - 1:40pm EST
Variant: Nahuatl of the Huasteca Veracruzana

Although the classroom language for both courses is Spanish, proficiency in it is not required.

The indigenous and diasporic languages consortium is partnership between the Institute for Latin American Studies at Columbia University, The CUNY Mexican Studies Institute, and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at New York University, designed to promote the teaching, learning, and study of indigenous and diasporic languages of the Americas. We welcome the community from all around the world to learn Mixteco and Nahuatl in our online courses!
Before registering, please be mindful of the following:
- IMPORTANT [ ! ] IF YOU NEED CREDITS FOR ANY OF THIS COURSES, PLEASE IN ADDITION TO FILLING THIS FORM CHECK AND FOLLOW YOUR REGISTRAR / PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINES
- Attendance is important for the individual and group progress. If you are unable to attend the class, or do the assignments, please inform the professor.
- The courses are online. We use ZOOM audio and video to connect live the professors and the students. Therefore, a computer and a strong internet connection is needed for the class.
- The duration of the course is from August 25 to December 21, 2021.
- The courses materials and class recordings will be available on Google Drive for easy access.
- The suggested donation to register is $25 per course. Additional generosity is deeply appreciated.
