The Water for the World team is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to lead workshops at GTA (Greater Toronto Area) middle schools, high schools, and universities throughout the year. These workshops are a great way to inspire young students to engage with their communities and begin to understand wicked problems such as global water scarcity. These workshops last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and consist of:
1. Presenting the topic of global water scarcity
2. Grouping students into countries and leading the students through a water filter building activity
3. Leading the students through a reflection where they discuss how their access to certain resources affected their capacity and what they did to overcome their barriers.
All volunteers will be trained by the Water for the World team and workshop assignments will be completely voluntary. You can choose which workshops you want to lead based on your capacity! Access to a car is not needed.
If you are interested, please fill out the form below and we will reach out to you shortly!
