Study visit: Outreach youth work practices in rural areas
International study visit “Outreach youth work practices in rural areas” will happen from 5th until 10th of September (5th September– Arrival day; 10th September– Departure day) in Lithuania and it will gather 19 participants from Latvia, Romania and Lithuania.

OBJECTIVES:
-To identify examples of good practice in street youth work and youth work with youth from risk groups in Latvia, Romania and Lithuania, ensure the exchange of experience between participants;
-To improve the competences of the participants in street youth work;
-To identify different approaches to the implementation of youth work in rural areas;
-To analyse and compare street youth work methods, their effectiveness in the work of participants actual work environment;
-To develop an international cooperation network for street youth work practitioners, those involved in work with young people at risk, in order to provide support in raising the quality of youth work;

Content of the study visit:
Day 1: Arrival of participants
Day 2 – Day 5:
- Practical information, learning objectives, group building activities, introduction to the development of Lithuanian youth work, context and street youth work;
- Street youth work practice in Lithuania; field visits to different areas where street youth work is implemented; Street youth work in Romania and Latvia - development, experience, examples of good practice; Evaluation of field visits, summary and analysis of the methodology;
- Use and adaptation of street youth work methods, the needs of young people; Planning of participants' local initiatives; The role of cross-sectoral cooperation in street youth work; International network development;
- Daily evaluations; Informal evening activities, Assessment of learning outcomes, Youthpass; Evaluation of the study visit;
Day 6: Departure of participants

 PARTICIPANTS PROFILE:
- youth workers, representatives of organizations, volunteers, formal and non-formal education workers;
- those who are involved in youth work - social workers, employees of public institutions, libraries, day centers, youth centers;
- representatives of cultural and sports institutions, youth leaders, heads of youth centers and NGOs;
- with no experience or little experience in outreach youth work, who are working in suburbs, rural areas and villages, work with young people at risk, youth in NEET situation and young people with fewer opportunities;
- able to participate in whole duration of the learning process;

FINANCIAL TERMS:
Participation fee: free
Accommodation, meals, materials, local travel expenses during the study visit will be covered by Erasmus+ programme. International travel expenses will be reimbursed.
