To apply for this grant, the applicant needs to be a current member of the California Kindergarten
Association. The applicant must submit a brief description of the activities he/she plans to
implement to enhance the visual arts for young children. Pictures or videos will also be accepted.
The grant monies of $250 may be spent for:
1. Art related field trips
2. Classroom art resources e.g.
• visiting artist
• attendance at a professional art in-service for educators
• mounting an art show
3. Classroom art supplies
Within a year of receiving the award, the grant recipient needs to submit photos or a video along
with a short writeup detailing how the grant impacted the visual arts education for young
children.
The information submitted will be highlighted on the CKA website.
