SENIOR SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
This scholarship is for any graduating senior who is furthering their education by attending a university, college, community college, technical school, culinary or fine arts academy.
The scholarship criteria is explained below:

One (1) scholarship will be given to each of the seven (7) RRISD high schools in the amount of $500.
•
Student must be a current PTSA member of their home campus.
•
Student must not have any major referrals.
•
Student must show evidence of community service, leadership, school involvement and PTSA involvement.
•
Student will be asked to write a short essay in which they are asked to “Describe your contribution to your PTSA. How has that made a difference in your life or a difference in your school/community?”
•
Scholarship application deadline is the March 31, 2024.
*FYI = A rubric will be used to “evaluate” each applicant. Each scholarship committee member will fill out a separate rubric for each applicant.
Scholarship application will include:
1. Completing a resume listing school activities, communities involvement, work experience, special awards and recognition throughout their high school career,
2. An essay, 300 words or less, addressing the following: "Describe your contribution to PTSA. How has that made a difference in your life or a difference in your school community?",
3. A complete counselor's report (weighted/unweighted GPAs Class Rank (if applicable) SAT/ACT scores),
4. All of the above must be fully completed and submitted no later than March 31. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
