Google Forms
Google Forms is a powerful tool for collecting data. It's free and easy-to-use and forms can be embedded into Canvas. We will share ideas on how we might use Forms for surveys, assessments, exit tickets, and event registrations. Then you will get hand-on time to build your own Google Form that you can use with your students. Instructor: Hedrick Ellis
Introduction to Canvas' New Gradebook
Attend this session for an introduction to Canvas’s New Gradebook which will be released to all courses during the Fall semester.  You will learn how to add the new Gradebook to your course  and use the new features including a Grade Detail tray, enhanced filter and sorting options, and late submission and grade posting policies.       Instructor: Jane Tutein    
Blackboard Ally
As part of its continuing commitment to accessibility and inclusion, the college is implementing Blackboard Ally, an application which assists Canvas content creators in making their digital course content more accessible. Ally checks course content on multiple accessibility criteria and gives that content an “accessibility score”. You will learn who to activate Blackboard Ally in your Canvas course, how to interpret your accessibility score, and how to make changes to your content to make it more accessible and improve your score. Introduction to TurnitIn
Faculty now have the option of enabling Turnitin similarity checking for assignments submitted through Canvas as a way to help students avoid plagiarism and appropriately document and cite sources.  In this session, we will cover how to enable Turnitin for student submissions, how to access and interpret the Similarity index and report, and strategies for introducing the tool to students.   Instructor: Jane Tutein
Screencasting Basics
Learn the basics of “screencasting”, recording videos of action taking place on your screen. We will look at the workflow of creating a screencast, adding closed captions, and uploading it to YuJa to be viewable in Canvas. Instructor: Hedrick Ellis
Google Tour Creator
Tour Creator allows teachers and students to create 360, virtual reality (VR) tours. You can use imagery from templates, Google Street View, or your own 360 images. Then, add details, audio files, and highlight points of interest to create an interactive tour. All you need is a Google Account and the free Google Street View App to get started. You will have hands-on time to make your own 360 tour and we will discuss how these could be used in your instruction and how students can use Google Tours to document their learning including their internships. Making the Most of YuJa  - Our Media Server
This session will introduce users to the school’s media server system: YuJa. We will cover the basics of the system including how it integrates with Canvas LMS. You will learn how YuJa can automatically add captions to any video. Participants are encouraged to bring a video that they would like to add to YuJa. Instructor: Hedrick Ellis
Google Drive and Google Docs: Advanced
This workshop is designed for people who are comfortable with the basic functionality of Google Drive and Google Docs and want to move to the next level. We will explore some advanced features of Google Docs such as formatting tables, adding drawings, voice typing, and using add-ons. We will also explore advanced features in Google Drive such as storing a file in two locations, moving multiple files at the same time, and organizing shared files. Instructor: Hedrick Ellis
