Idaho State legislators have a moral responsibility to update the Idaho Human Rights Act, ensuring that it will protect all Idahoans, including our gay and transgender neighbors.
We're insisting the Idaho Legislature finally add four words, 'sexual orientation' and 'gender identity,' to Idaho's Human Rights Act to prevent the suicides, beatings, loss of jobs, evictions and the fear that too many gay and transgender Idahoans live with every day. Gay and transgender Idahoans have tried for over a decade to get the Legislature to consider the ‘Add the Words’ legislation, and this can't wait any longer. Our elected leaders have failed us thus far.
It's time for Idahoans to get off the sidelines and take a stand. If you care about equal rights and the safety and wellbeing of our children, family, friends, and neighbors, we need you to join our cause. We're holding our elected leaders accountable for not tolerating discrimination through a massively coordinated blogging campaign on Medium.com and social media.
Please fill out this form if you'll join us, and we'll email you the next steps.
