The Band Program provides outstanding opportunities for children to learn a wide range of instruments and to develop as musicians within the discipline of a group. Children join the Training Band when they start learning their instrument and then graduate to the Concert Band, usually the following year.

Instruments we offer for hire and tutoring are: Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, and French Horn.

It is a requirement that all children in the Band Program participate in weekly lessons, either through the school or privately.

TRAINING BAND
The Training Band is for children starting a band instrument. Beginner players are introduced to playing together progressing from simple compositions through to much more complicated pieces. An exciting year full of new experiences and challenges is guaranteed, including their first competition. Students are typically in Year 3 or 4 with limited musical knowledge.

COST: $100 per term, billed per semester

Starts term 2, 7:45am on Tuesday mornings

CONCERT BAND

The Concert Band is our senior band ensemble, offered to those students who have shown a proficiency above the training band and have been playing their instrument for a couple of years. Generally this group is for those in years 5-6, but is open to all based on merit.

COST: $125 per term, billed per semester
