Hoover Dance Placement and Team Auditions 2024-2025
Hello Hawk Families!

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the Hoover Middle School Dance Department for the upcoming school year, 2024-2025! My name is Ms. Jos, and I am so excited for the chance to work with your dancers this coming school year! Incoming 6th, 7th and 8th grade dancers who are interested in Intermediate, Advanced, or Dance Team level placement must audition, or they will be placed in Beginning by default.

Dancers auditioning have the opportunity to be placed on Dance Evolution (DE), the award winning competitive dance team at Hoover. Dance candidates will have an opportunity to select whether or not they are auditioning for placement only or DE team members when submitting this form. The last day to sign-up using this form for dance auditions is SUNDAY, April 21st.

If you are auditioning for the Dance Team, there is a "Dance Evolution" contract/packet that will be sent to the email you provide on this sign-up form by Monday, April 22nd. The "Dance Evolution" contract/packet MUST be filled out and signed by the dancer and parent/guardian.

AUDITION - The audition for Intermediate, Advanced, and Dance team levels will occur in-person on Tuesday, April 23rd from 3:30-5:30pm in the Hoover Dance Room. Please meet at the front of the Hoover Swimming Pool entrance on time at 3:30pm. 

The results of the audition will not be posted until Friday, May 23rd. 

*Dance Team candidates who do not attend the Audition Workshop on Tuesday, April 23rd will NOT be eligible for the Dance Team. Please email me with any conflicts or questions you may have (cjos@sjusd.org).
