Please read carefully through the information below, provide the required details, and submit your $100 participation donation. Once we receive your form, you will be added to the list of participating businesses. You will be connected with your volunteer painter as soon as possible to begin planning your window painting.

The Elmhurst Pride Collective will provide all the paint, brushes, and other supplies.

Please make sure to share images of your completed Pride art on your social media and tag @elmhurst_pride_collective.

The $100 participation donation can be made via check (made out to Elmhurst Pride Collective, and mailed to 531 S. Mitchell Ave., Elmhurst IL 60126) or via electronic payment (information to come). *

The Elmhurst Pride Collective will assign a volunteer artist to your business and will connect you via email, unless another communication method is requested. You will meet with your artist to determine the size, scope, and theme of the art, as well as any restrictions. The painting should reflect your business in some way, allow the artist some flexibility in style, and, of course, celebrate Pride! Please make sure to include the words "Elmhurst Pride 2023" somewhere in the design. Please set a date for painting, no earlier than May 20, and no later than June 4. [Please understand that weather may impact plans.] *

Each business owner is responsible for removing the window paint at the end of Pride month. Please leave the art up throughout the entire month of June.

Use a scraper to remove the paint. If it does not come off easily right away, spray with water, Windex or other window cleaner. You can also use graffiti cleaner, available at hardware stores.

If you are unable to paint windows at your business but would still like to participate, we also offer the option of having a banner painted to hang inside or outside your store. The banner is approximately 3'x6' and comes with rope and grommets for easy hanging.

We believe that window painting makes a much bigger and bolder expression of Pride, but if your restrictions allow you to participate only with a banner, we are happy to have one painted for you.

Is there anything in particular we need to know when planning for your Pride window design? Please let us know a general idea of the size of the window(s) available to paint, if there is anything tricky about the windows or the ability to access them, etc.
