http://hcs.hickmanschools.org/advanced-robotics.htmlWhat is it? This advanced LEGO EV3/EVA robotics course for students in grades 6-8 is a cooperative, challenge-based offering that builds on the lessons students learned in Intro to Robotics. This offering stresses the importance of teamwork, collaborative problem solving, programming logic, and communication skills. NEW THIS SPRING: Students will work AS A TEAM with the EV3 LEGO kits to propose, design, build, and program a machine to accomplish a task students will define.
Class size is limited due to kit availability. Registration priority will be given to 8th grade students.
► Who is it for? Students in grades 6-8 who have completed Intro to Robotics. The ability to work collaboratively is a must. Strong computer skills are highly recommended. Students will be encouraged to communicate with their teammate(s) using their HCS email, and to collaborate on presentation materials via Google Drive inside and outside of class.
► THIS CLASS IS REPEATABLE! Even if you participated in a previous year/semester, you are welcome to sign up again.
