All communication for lessons are with Mrs Sharkey direct. Please make sure to add the following email to your contacts as emails are often filed automatically in junk / spam due to them being sent as a blind copy.

Lessons will start week beginning September 18th 2023. This allows for students to have one full week of learning as they return to following their new school timetable.
Lessons are organised in a two week carousel where possible moving across the school day. This prevents students from missing the same lesson each week.
Lesson cost
11 Lessons 15 minutes a week. £110 term. £320 year. Can be paid termly / in instalments see below*
11 Lessons 30 minutes a week. £220 term. £660 year. Can be paid termly /

Term dates 2023
The term dates for 2023 mean it is not possible to deliver 11 lessons in term 2. Therefore term 1 will have extra lessons added to allow for this.
Finance can be supported with monthly payments. When starting lessons mid year the full year payment will appear, you will be charged for the terms of lesson your son / daughter has. *
Parent Pay gives you the option of choosing how much you wish to pay whilst processing the
amount during payment. This enables you to pay smaller amounts more frequently, if
you prefer.
Further information
Mrs Sharkey administers lessons, timetables are emailed to parents. Paper copies are available from the music department. Students needs to ask as we currently don't have a display space in the new department.
ParentPay will be set up in the first month of the academic year. Payment needs to be made before the end of the first half term. Monday November 5th 2023, Monday February 12th Monday 2024, June 3rd, 2024. Payments can be made monthly. Please contact Mrs Elliston to arrange this j.elliston@finhampark.co.uk

EXAMS : During examination periods lessons can be arranged to fit exams, with prior notice. Students need to organise this with their teacher, as soon as they are given their exam timetable, rather than on the day.
ABSENCE : Where a teacher is absent lessons are made up at the end of term. Unfortunately, we are not able to refund for student absence to lessons. Where appropriate, with advance warning lessons can be rearranged direction with the instrumental teacher. Teachers are expected to email informing you of a missed lesson.
CANCELLATION: The noticed required is 6 instrumental lessons, our teachers are self employed. Lessons continue for the academic year unless instructed to cancel. Each summer an email is sent to current parents to have priority in continuing lessons.
POST 16 - Lessons are allocated in their independent learning time where possible.
After signing up for lessons I communicate all timetables, and updates with parents using the email(s) submitted. Please check junk mail as my emails can land up in the junk folder. This information is not sent to mentors as it is more efficient to liaise direct with parents.
