SEAL Kit Reservations
Reservations for mid-February through mid-April 2024 are at capacity.

These "program-in-a-box" kits feature books, interactive activities, and solar viewing instruments. They also include printed materials aimed at helping public library staff feel more comfortable when talking about solar eclipses and solar science in general.

A description of the contents of each kit can be found here. For programming ideas and other resources, visit Solar Eclipse Activities for Libraries (SEAL).

Because there are a limited number of kits to serve the whole state, it is critical to get the kits back into delivery on the first day delivery service is available after your program. This ensures that the kit will arrive at the next library in a timely manner.

Delivery Instructions - please indicate any issues or logistics that may affect delivery and return of the kit(s). If none, please enter "NA". *

The Multigeneration Kits each include a telescope and a tripod. There is a black plastic piece with a screw at the bottom of each leg that holds the leg in place when it is extended to different heights.

It is very important that you DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THE SCREW on this plastic piece. Overtightening will cause the plastic piece to crack. If the piece is cracked, the tripod can’t support the weight of the telescope.
