Section 1: Prom Contract
Important Information:

1. No ticket(s) will be sold without this agreement form completed in its entirety by both the student and his/her parent/guardian.
2. This is a formal event and formal attire must be worn at all times.
3. No refunds will be given if a student violates this agreement and/or legal and BVA rules listed in the student handbook.
4. All students must meet current academic eligibility guidelines set forth by BVAHS to attend the prom. No refunds will be issued if a student fails to meet the academic eligibility requirements.
5. Students cannot stay at the venue hotel (if applicable) without a parent/guardian.

Requirements and expectations during the Belle Vernon Area High School Prom:

1. Students must arrive at the Prom Venue between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m. Students arriving after 7:00 p.m. will be subject to searches by the local law enforcement officials.
2. Students who leave the prom before 10:00 p.m. will not be permitted to reenter the event.
3. Students attending the prom will be closely monitored by school staff and the local law enforcement members.
4. Drugs, alcohol, weapons, tobacco in any form, and any other illegal and or dangerous contraband are not permitted at the Grand March, in the limousines, or at the venue. Portable breathalyzers will be on site and may be used. Student refusal of a breathalyzer test will be subject to local law enforcement scrutiny. Students suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol or in possession of drugs, alcohol, or weapons will be subject to the applicable policies and procedures of the school district including school discipline and restriction from future school functions and local law enforcement charges may be applicable.
5. No backpacks or bags will be permitted into the high school for Grand March or in the venue. All students will be subject to searches and/or asked to empty their pockets if deemed necessary.
6. Students are not permitted to bring food, drinks, other liquids, and/or prescription/non-prescription medicine. Students requiring medication of any kind must make arrangements with an administrator prior to May 1.
7. Inappropriate, sexually explicit dancing is prohibited. Students who engage in inappropriate dancing will immediately be removed from the dance floor. No warnings will be given.
8. Students who violate any of the above rules/expectations or other rules contained in the BVA students handbook may face disciplinary consequences including removal from the dance, suspension and/or social probation.

The BVA Prom Committee members and BVA teachers work tirelessly throughout the school year to provide a safe, fun and memorable Prom for all students!
