SFJAZZ White Affinity Group Sign-Up Form
Hello friends,

This is a registration form for white-identified SFJAZZ staff members to sign up for the restorative justice based anti-racism program that the organization will be hosting this summer. Held by a group of seasoned restorative justice facilitators, this program will begin with separate programming for white-identified employees and employees of color followed by a convening of all participating employees.

Please fill out the form below so we can learn a bit more about you, your hopes for our time together, and so that we can send you more program information in the coming weeks.

To learn more about the entire program (as well as your facilitators, the topic of restorative justice itself, and the use of white affinity groups) please click here: tinyurl.com/SFJAZZ-antiracism-program

The white affinity portion of this program will consist of four 2.5 hour sessions (with a short break in the middle of each) facilitated by Kat Culberg and David Dean. The first two sessions will be held in-person and will take place on August 11th and 12th from 2-4:30pm. The second two will be held virtually on zoom later in the month (specific dates TBD).

Each of the four white affinity sessions will involve 15 to 45 minutes (approximately) of engaging readings and videos to be read/watched before the session takes place. These resources along with some more information about our time together in general will be emailed to you by August 1st.

Note: If you are biracial or multiracial and seeking to explore your relationship to whiteness and/or light-skin privilege, the white affinity group may be supportive of your growth. Please reach out to davidbfdean@gmail.com and katherine.culberg@gmail.com and we’ll help you determine if this group is a good fit for you.

We are excited to create an accepting, compassion-based community with one another where all of us can build greater capacity to contribute to positive social change in the workplace and in the broader world.
