2024 - Green Guerillas Summer Youth Tiller Application

  • Compensation: $15/hr | 15hrs/wk
  • Application deadline: May 27th
  • First round in-person Interviews: June 21st  & June 22nd
  • Second round in-person interviews: June 27th
  • Program Duration: July 3rd  - August 24th

PROGRAM LOCATION:
Our office is located at 925 Bergen Street, Brooklyn NY 11238. However, you must be able to travel to the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn & Manhattan.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:
  • Mondays | 11am - 2pm 
  • Tuesdays | 11:30 am - 1:30 pm 
  • Thursdays | 11 am - 2pm
  • Saturdays | 11 am - 3pm 
* Schedule is subjected to change depending on trip days.

Our Summer Youth Tillers program aims to encourage intergenerational learning spaces through youth providing hands-on support to community gardeners during the busiest time of the growing season. You will learn about the history behind community gardening, the people power behind green spaces and the value of such growing food in marginalized communities. This is a NYC based internship.

If you are not able to commit to the program schedule, travel or in person work please do not apply. This program is challenging, involving hard outdoor work on hot summer days, but is very rewarding if you are up for the challenge!
