Education and Mentorship Volunteer Opportunities in the Region - Employer Interest Form
The Detroit Regional Chamber's Education and Talent Team is excited to launch this interest form to connect you with opportunities to serve students in Southeast Michigan. There is a great need for employers to connect with and share their expertise with students. We have two easy ways for you to volunteer.

We have included links to organizations that we partner with that work with high school students interested in pursuing college: Winning Futures and Midnight Golf. They are both in need of mentors for students and have more detailed information on volunteer opportunities on their websites. Both will be accepting applications soon for interested parties to get involved for the 2021-22 school year.

In addition, there is an opportunity for businesses to participate in the Loyola Work Experience Program, which allows students at Detroit’s Loyola High School to spend one day per week in the offices of program partners where they gain practical, real-world work experience that helps them find success beyond their academic studies. Loyola is seeking employer partners to support this program. Please contact Kenneth Gardner, Director of the Loyola Work Experience Program, to learn more: kgardner@loyolahsdetroit.org

The Chamber is also partnering with other organizations seeking volunteers for students in earlier grades, Junior Achievement and Beyond Basics. Use the links below to learn more or volunteer.

Finally, the Chamber is leading work on summer-melt and in need of volunteers for that effort. This summer bridge programming is taking place Detroit College Access Network, Wayne State University, Henry Ford College, and Oakland University. We are in need for employers to participate in mentoring, panels, and job readiness workshops. If you are interested in volunteering for, or learning more about this opportunity, please fill out the form below.
