2024 Professional Mentor Sign-Up Form
Thank you for expressing interest in our Professional to Graduate Student Mentoring Program! If selected, we will pair you with one or more mentees for a six-month long supported program (February - October) and request your feedback at the end of that time. We will reach out to you with more information once your application has been approved.

This program will provide:
  • The opportunity to support a graduate student mentee within IEEE in a discipline related to your background, goals and interests.
  • Support from the graduate student activities subcommittee, which will review your application, pair you with a mentor and act as a point of contact to mitigate issues that may arise over the runtime of the program.
  • Support in being inducted into the IEEE-HKN honors society if not currently a member.

The requirements for a mentor are:
  • Be an professional/alumni member of IEEE-HKN or a non-student member of IEEE at lease one year outside of a degree program.
  • Be prepared to engage with each mentee for 2-4 hours per month over the duration of the program.
  • Be ready to listen and support your mentees and encourage them to bring key discussion points to each meeting.

Please also review the following resources to prepare:

The deadline for filling out an application is Friday, February 23 2024.

After approval, we will reach out to you for a bio to assisting in the pairing process and introduce you to your mentee.
