Ralph and Ruth Yulo New Teacher Award 2023
Awarded in the names of two exemplary Connecticut Science educators.  
     *Membership in CSTA is not a requirement
     *In the first 3 years of the teaching profession and currently teaching science
     *This award recognizes a new teacher (first three years of teaching) who:
                 *Inspires students to question and appreciate phenomena in nature
                 *Continuously seeks out ways to reflect on and improve instructional practices
                 *Designs learning opportunities that show the interdisciplinary connections
                         between science and other subjects
                 *Displays an openness to learning from others ex. students, parents, colleagues
                  *Implements lessons that encourage students to observe and question

     *Recipients will receive membership in CSTA.
     *If awardee presents at the next conference, registration will be waived.
     *Awardee will be invited to Awards Celebration to be recognized.
