Assistant Lead Counselor Applications are due by Wednesday, March 18.

Here is an overview of what it is like to be an Assistant Lead Counselor:

This is a volunteer role. We see the Asst Leads as almost like a student staff of Kids Camp. You will have a chance to make your mark on camp more than other counselors. You will receive more responsibility and that may prepare you for future leadership opportunities.

You will be expected to support your Lead Counselor in many ways, some of which may include:
*Helping with check-out
*Delegating to, overseeing, or disciplining other counselors
*Coming alongside campers who are sad, angry, unresponsive, disobedient, etc.
*Being the "go-to" person your Lead Counselor can turn to in times of need/emergency
*Lead the color group in the absence of the lead counselor

You will have a chance to lead songs and act in skits.

You may have a chance to take part in planning theme song and after-camp fun events.

You must attend Sunday afternoon training meetings: March 29, April 26, May 17, May 31 from 1-3:30pm in the Greenhouse.

Attend Asst Lead counselor meetings with Director Heather Robertson and the Kids Camp interns once a week during camp weeks.

You are expected to attend Sunday worship regularly and encourage children/youth to attend.

We are called to live wisely; therefore, we are asking you to agree to these guidelines as a leader within the church and Kids Camp:
1) Avoid alcoholic beverages/illegal drugs. If you are 21 or over and choose to drink, do so responsibly. If you use tobacco products, do not use them while at church.
2) Be wise about what you post on social media. Remember, what you type and the photos that you post reflect on Kids Camp, First Covenant Church, and the body of Christ.
3) Use speech that represents Jesus in a good way.
4) Strive to keep physical boundaries in romantic relationships.
