Film Hub Member's Advisory Forum 2021
We are holding our yearly advisory forum which is open to all members of Film Hub South West at 10 am-12:30 pm on Thursday 21st October, via Zoom.

This forum is an opportunity for Film Hub South West members (organisations and associated freelancers) to inform us of their experience of the hub; whether it be accessing funding or training, workshops and support, and any other resources. Here we have the chance to openly evaluate the Hub's current offering and where there may be room for improvement.

As we are all emerging out of pandemic restrictions, we also aim to use this space to acknowledge the challenges faced in returning to work in the exhibition sector and welcoming audiences back to our spaces with confidence and engaging films, once more.

The Members Advisory Forum is a vital part of the work we do at Film Hub South West, and it is continually shaped by the feedback and advice from our membership and nationwide FAN membership.

In the South West, we understand that there are specific opportunities and challenges that a national approach cannot always satisfy, so we are pleased to open this space for you to tell us where you see opportunity and possibility, as well as challenges and successes within Film Hub South West.

The session will be broken down into sections - on funding (regional and FAN wide), training and interaction with the Hub with regular breaks.

The benefit of the Forum is that members are able to voice opinions in an open and forward-thinking environment where we will listen and discuss one another’s experiences, in order to strategise the future of the exhibition sector in our region and feed into / respond to the BFI's new 10-year plan for 2023-2033.

We look forward to also celebrating the successes of what you achieved (in and out of lockdowns) over the past 12 months. If you have something to shout about that your organisation has put on - let us know below so we can also shout about it!

Your Forum
We are keen to create as many opportunities as possible for our members to share with one another and to input into this process.
Is there anything in particular you would like the Member's Forum to address or are there any activities you would like the Forum to include?
Do you have any particular success stories of engaging new audiences or developing your organisation over the past few years you would be willing to share during the Forum?
We are particularly interested in projects that focus on the BFI priority areas: Young Audiences; Screen Heritage; Access, Diversity and Inclusion; Cultural Engagement or Film Hub funded activity.  However,  if you have grown your audiences overall, in a way that others can learn from, we would love to hear your story.
Thank you for registering for this event - we look forward to seeing you there!
