2024 Church Leadership Essentials Mentoring Application

Thank you for your interest in the Vineyard Women Mentoring Experience!

The Church Leadership Essentials mentoring group is designed for any women who lead in a Vineyard church or ministry. Participants will be placed in a mentoring group with 2-6 other mentees and a group mentor who has pastoral leadership experience. During this six-month program, you will be given access to monthly resources that will help you grow as a leader, and each month you will participate in a Zoom call with your mentoring group to discuss the month’s topic. Our hope is that these mentoring groups can also become a source of community, support, and friendship for the participants.

As a participant in Church Leadership Essentials mentoring, you will be expected to dedicate 3-5 hours per month to going through the resources provided so that you are prepared to contribute to group discussion during the mentoring Zoom call. The more you prepare for discussion, dedicate time to applying the content to your life and ministry, and participate in the conversation, the more you will benefit from the mentoring program.

  • Holy Spirit Ministry


    For senior-level pastors desiring Resilient Pastoral Leadership mentoring, you do not have to participate in this mentoring group as a prerequisite.

Expectations of Participants in Church Leadership Essentials Mentoring:

  • Complete assigned homework before mentoring sessions. The earlier you do it, the more you will be able to think through the material to benefit from the discussion.

  • Attend a monthly Zoom meeting with your mentoring group, usually around 90 minutes.

  • Participate in conversation. Apply what you are learning and let us know how it’s going!

  • Maintain the confidentiality of the group. All women are encouraged to share openly in group discussion and likewise maintain the trust of the group by not sharing things others have disclosed in the group.

  • Payment of $300 by the Month 2 Zoom date. The funds go directly to the women serving as mentors. (You may choose to ask your church if there are scholarship funds available to you for mentoring.)

  • Provide us with your feedback at the conclusion of the mentoring program.

Mentoring starts June 2024, and we aim to conclude in November 2024.

Please submit only one application, as you will have the ability to edit your responses as long as you make your changes before the application deadline on May 15, 2024 at 11:59 pm (CST). As part of the application process, you are also asked to submit the name of your pastor to fill out a referral form. That referral form must also be received no later than May 15, 2024 at 11:59 pm (CST).
