Introduction to (Ohana) Flower Path, a Contemplative Approach 1st theme- Flower as Guest & Offering Flower workshop with Alexandra Shenpen, Sensei
Three Part Series;
Saturday, August 15th, 22nd & 29th
11:30 – 1:00pm EDT  
Come to all three or just when you can!

All ages invited to Opening to the Flower (Ohana) Path.(Ikebana or Kado). This is a 3 part series, taking all 3 in sequence (ideally) or just the class of your choice.

Alexandra Shenpen, Sensei, has studied Ikebana/Kado through Kalapa Ikebana and the Sogetsu School for over 30 years. She teaches extensively at Naropa University, meditation centers, public venues, and privately. She is also a mentor, life/creativity coach & psychotherapist in private practice. Shenpen has been appointed a Master Instructor for Kalapa Ikebana, an Artist to the Kalapa Court and is a Riji of Sogetsu Ikebana.

Materials Needed: for Workshop 1-August 15th

- one or more longish stems of flower, or grass with tuft
to be covered with a damp cloth (on a tray can be nice)
*****only one is needed for entire first workshop

- a bowl of water for cutting the base of the stem in

-a pair of scissors or garden shears

- a modestly sized  vase you like filled with water only & can place a stem in( very last step).
