Conditions of Entry

1. The competition is only open to current residents of Golden Bay.

2. Entries must be original, completed in the last 12 months and not previously exhibited.

3. There is a limit of one medium per category, per person, which may be judged or not as desired. Entry fees are (per artwork) $25 general entry, $20 if volunteering*, $15 Youth

4. All entries must be suitable for a general audience and will be accepted at our discretion.

5. Entries are to be delivered to Golden Bay High School Hall on Wednesday 18th October between 1pm and 5.30 pm.

6. LATE ENTRIES CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.

PRIOR EXHIBITION TASKS...

o Work must be supplied finished, dry and in a safe condition for handling (i.e. no sharp points, jagged edges etc). If the work is very large/heavy the artist will need to assist us in hanging or displaying it - Get in touch with us

o You must contact us no later than one week prior to the entry date if your work IS NOT wall mounted - Gbartsnz@gmail.com

o 2D work MUST be provided ready to hang - i.e. with hooks and cord already firmly attached. Work not ready to hang will not be exhibited.

o On a separate tag clearly write name, title of piece and category. Attach tag to string. (Tags are purely for hanging purposes and will be removed for exhibition.)

7. All work MUST be collected at the end of the exhibition on Sunday 29th October 4pm – 5pm. Artists can arrange another person to pick up.

8. Although all reasonable care will be taken Golden Bay Arts Council Incorporated will not be responsible for any loss or damage to art work.

* This community event takes many volunteer hours to run. If you cannot support this volunteer effort with either 3 hours on the desk or helping with the exhibition then your entry fee will be $25 (an additional $5)
