Trick-or-Treat Fish Creek                   VOLUNTEER Sign-up Form
Join your community in a family-friendly event to celebrate the re-opening of the Fish Creek Trail! We're inviting neighbors and families to kick-off their neighborhood trick-or-treating along the newly renovated trail. Help by volunteering!

We're looking for folks to join a bicycle parade, host trick-or-treat stations, or join a team to plan games/activities at four main parks. Please fill out the form below to see what works for you!

Here's a rundown of the opportunities for HALLOWEEN, Thursday, October 31st:

* Ribbon cutting 4:30 to 5 at Kiwanis Fish Creek Park (3907 Turnagain Blvd. E)  – Join the Spenard Community Council, Anchorage Park Foundation, Anchorage Parks & Rec, Alaska Department of Transportation, Neeser Construction and neighborhood leaders and residents for an official ribbon-cutting for our new and improved trail.

* Trick-or-Treat stations will be set up along the entire trail from 4:30 (set-up) and running from 5-6:30pm.
Trick-or-Treat VOLUNTEERS will: set up a treat station, easy-up tent, table, fire pit, music, etc. Pass out tricks, treats, or swag if you're representing a business or organization. Set-up begins at 4pm, and trick-or-treating takes place from 5-6:30pm.

* Fun and Games at 4 main parks from 5-6:30pm: Barbara Street, Woodland, Kiwanis Fish Creek, and Red Bridge Parks.
Park Captains are VOLUNTEERS that will: Come together as a group to plan what kinds of activities or games to host at the parks. Be creative: puppet shows, haunted playgrounds, toilet paper mummies, bobbing for apples, all that good stuff! Set-up begins at 4pm, and fun and games take place from 5-6:30pm

* Bicycle Parade starts at 5:00pm @ Barbara Street Park
Bike Parade VOLUNTEERS will: come in costume with bike decorations to share, gather at Barbara Street Park, and ride at 5pm south toward Red Bridge Park. We ask volunteers to help the group navigate along the trail, especially the southern portion (south of Kiwanis Fish Creek Park, under Spenard Rd., through the new section of trail, along 45th Ave, then to Red Bridge Park).

We are excited to have many neighborhood sponsors and a Trick-or-Treat map coming soon. Join us for music, food, art, community, a bike parade and who knows what else! We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you!
